Birds of Dominica
|
| There are one hundred and thirty-five species of birds in Dominica. And though there is no well-marked breeding season for many of the birds mentioned, they generally nest sometimes in the dry season or Careme, from February to June. The season is somewhat later in mountainous districts than in the low-lands. The Sisserou Parrot or Amazona Imperialis is Dominica’s National Bird, and can be seen in the Syndicate National Park on the north east mountains in Dominica. |
