Whale Watching |
We are proud of our status as the ‘Pioneers of the Whale Watching Industry in the Caribbean’. Along with our over 20 years experience of taking our clients Whale Watching, our research and reputation has caused Dominica to be named ‘the Whale Watching Capital of the Caribbean’ and has become a preferred destination for the sighting of the deep diving sperm Whales.
The protected lee of the island is ideal for their mating and calving activities. In addition to the Sperm Whales, regular sightings of Pilot Whales and mixed pods of Spotted and Spinner Dolphins can be expected. Look out for the elusive little Pygmy Sperm, False Killer Whales, Atlantic Bottlenose and many other species.
Add to that Turtles, Fish, seabirds, and a magnificent view of the island's rugged beauty makes these trips an excellent way to spend an afternoon.
Rum punch, local fruit juice and water are served. Hydrophones are utilized to assist in locating and listening to the whales. An interesting and informative briefing is done prior to departure.
Trips depart every Wednesday and Sunday afternoons at 2pm and return at sunset. We are happy to customize a trip for you or your group at any time. Specialist or photography trips can be arranged.
